It seems to be fine. It is something that I would only use when my phone gets low and I am out of charging ability. So I have it attached to my key ring ( love the size) and have not actually used it yet. To be honest I hope I never have to use it, but nice having it available for emergencies. So day I will find out the length and strength of charge when time comes I need it. Nice to know I have a backup very handy.

The TAU is perfect when it works.. I keep mine on my car keys and it's saved me or a friend a couple of times when someone needs to get a train home but doesn't have battery to get all the way. However, we bought a few units and some of the chords don't fit in their place properly (I did message TAU and they quickly replaced one unit, however, when it happened to two other units, it wasn't worth the fuss). Also, some units only charge Samsung and others only iPhone.. not sure why this is happeni

The lightning/micro USB doesn't fit micro usb. I tried several devices and it didn't fit any micro USB. Lightning worked fine Also, if I plug it in with less than 35% battery, it does this thing where, while plugged, it acts as of it connects and disconnects. Not sure if it is because it draws more power thannormal, but really, who uses a emergency power bank at 50% battery? Worth noting I got THREE of them, and all have the same problems I mentioned. The battery is OK. The battery recharge connector is proprietary. So, i need to take the power cord with the battery to everywhere I go. If this conn was mini, micro USB or USB-C would help a lot. The idea to fix the recharge base in somewhere is very good when you plan tobe back that place often.

It works great for my husband's iphone but does not connect correctly to my tablet (mini usb) or phone (usb c). On my phone and tablet, it constantly turns on and off to charge and if I get it to connect on my tablet, I get a slow charging warning. It's very annoying and the main reason I bought these was so I could use them because hupbby already has 2 iphone quick charge banks.

Although when you look calmly you realize that the side that comes off the wire to charge is on the side of the key ring. I was trying to pull the wire to charge my cell phone on the other side. If you weren't quite sure, you could have ruined Tau. the second Tau is still in the box as it is present. Good to know that I have spare energy for an emergency. Thanks.

It's a great product in its concept, but I was really disappointed in the metal part that keeps it in the keychain being so fragile. In my case, it has broken and I just can't fix it. So, people should hace extremely careful with that. I really don't recommned hanging TAU in your keychain if you carry many keys (including car keys, usually with a big case and heavy).

Although I haven’t had to make much use of the Tau it is a great design and size. Very convenient. I’ve had quite a few portable batteries but the form factor of this one with the magnetic charging station makes it the best I’ve used and a great bit of EDC. That’s why I bough two.

I have three of these. They are not fit for purpose. I bought them as gifts for my family but got them all back as they don't work properly. When plugged in the phone starts charging and then stops charging then starts charging then stops charging, every second. This continues until unplugging. The phone ends up using more juice from buzzing every second to indicate that charging has started. This happens with my Nokia, my Motorola, my wife's iPhone and my Samsung tablet.

I’m generally quite pleased with Tau. It’s always charged and ready to give my phone that extra juice when I need it. My only complaint would be about the clip that attaches to keys etc. for the first few months the clip would come undone and my Tau would fall to the ground, or off of my key ring, but just recently the clip has broken off completely which makes the product a lot worse, please fix this. Besides that, I am very satisfied

I love the size of the TAU and the fact that you can charge is so easily. However I find it a bit bothersome to use when it is being charged. Because the cable is pretty short and not flexible my phone is always in a very awkward position to hold or to lie down. I also noticed that sometimes it doesn't charge even though it is plugged in - so I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to work. Other than that it is very handy and again I love the size of the TAU and the green color!

I have not had your product in for a long enough period of time to give you my opinion as to the quality of your product. The one thing I do think you should work on is the delivery of your product to a buyer once it has been purchased. I would let anyone know that plans on buying this battery charger for a cell phone, should plan on waiting quite awhile to get it delivered to you. Buyer beware!!!

This thing is pretty awesome. Super convenient and fits perfectly on my key chain. My one note would be it's durability though. I managed to pull the USB-C plug out of place while charging my phone after just the second use and now it won't fold properly, so maybe a better way to secure that or at least put it back into place if it does come out. I really want to like it. The concept is good. Three things could be improved: 1. The light needs to show how much power it has remaining, when charging and when in use; 2. I am loving the TAU! Although I was initially a little upset about the capacity (which I hasn't noted before) it actually don't matters at all, since it is always charged when I need it. I think the great point of the product is how practical it is to keep charged. I really love it. I bought one for me and one for my gf and she is loving it as well. The device is pretty nifty, but out of the 3 that I ordered only 2 actually work. The one that I use struggles to stay connected - it's plugged in correctly, but it is constantly charging on and off every few seconds. Honestly, it isnt as great as i anticipated, its almost as advertised PHYSICALLY, but the charging cables are not the greatest quality and the charging was erratic when i charged, like it was charging and then not charging within seconds, as if the cable was damaged. Sometimes it doesn't charge properly and gives of electrical charges in waves to the phone which in turns the phone screen on every second which drains the battery more then it is charged. This is resolved once the TAU is recharged again but that somewhat defeats the purpose. Charging the TAU itself bugs me more: cables are rather short but that depends on your setup. It is a usb requiring a trafo with 5V 1A which is not included, so I have to look for another product to use TAU. Idea: TAU-USB-H

I've only used it for a few days but so far so good. I have a slim 10,000maH power bank from Anker that I would have second thoughts about brining with me when I did not have a bag. Wit the TAU, it's such an easy decision to just slip it into my pocket, and feel comfortable knowing that I have a power bank with me that can charge my AirPods (the Tau's integrated cables are great!) or power my iPhone for a while longer when the battery runs down. Perfect pocket-sized battery for EDC :)

I'm disappointed in my Tau. I ordered two of these and gave my boyfriend one. He has an iPhone X. I have a Google Pixel 2 XL. We both only get about 30% charge out of our Taus. On the days where I use my phone a lot, it doesn't make much of a difference. It also charges really slow. If you're using your phone while it charges, you will lose battery faster than it charges. The cord that comes with the Tau to charge the base is also too short.

Got it worked flawlessly until the lightening cable snapped. They then sent me a replacement (which is very appreciated) but then the key chain bit of the tau broke (snapped off) it comes out of a socket meaning that your keys come off all the time. I got @ Tau's, they were very useful and i'd use both to essentially charge my phone fully while being able to use it and not have a pestering cable in my way. Only issue is the build quality is less than desired. One of my Tau's already broke on the lightning cable, the contacts on the lightning stripped off and the entire end started to fall apart and now is unusable with the exception of the USB-C portion, of which I have no use for, i would like a refund or at the very least a replacement.

Great item! Charges my phones when I'm almost out of juice. It's sleek and attaches to my keys very easily and doesn't weigh it down. Charges my new iPhones 11 an extra 30%. Highly Recommended. A very practical tool to charge your phone in emergencies or when you need a bit of extra battery to get through the day. After using it for 1-2 months I am very happy with it. Now it feels just natural to not worry about having no power outlet or charging cable with you. While charging the TAU gets hot. Not warm. Hot. Although they warn about that with a sticker when you get the device there is definitely room for improvements in that matter. Maybe this will be helpful in winter, though :)

The TAU chargers work really well! They charge fast, are sleek and are really handy to use and carry around! The only problem I have is that the little metal clip for the key ring isn't very tight and sometimes opens up. Keeping the metal hook closed with a little bit of glue seems to be the best option. I have a Streamline Mic for my Signia Hearing aids. Alas, the battery life is about 2.5 hours. I can hang the Tau on the same lanyard and it can charge while I use it. I keep them together when charging..Just what I needed. a charger with attached cables!

Very good! really useful and good charging capacity as well as light weight, a few minor improvements needed: - The black charging dock came with a white lead, not aesthetic, should be matching the colour of the dock. The white charging dock came with a white lead. - There were no usb plugs with the docks, something I would expect when buying a new item. - The metal on the charger feels a little flimsy and is malleable, will this bend out of shape over time? perhaps attach a more solid loop

I bought the two pack - one white and one black for my boyfriend and I. He uses the black one with his Samsung Note and it works perfectly. It charges that bad boy all the way from the living dead! I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and it BARELY charges my phone before it dies. Could this be an issue with just my charger or does it have something to do with the type of phone I have?

I have no previous experience using an external power bank, so I can’t honestly compare. On a full charge of my TAU, I get a 20% charge on my iPhone (switched off) before I have to recharge my TAU. I can’t say whether this is good or not, but I like the convenience of the TAU to provide power if there is no power outlet available.

The package arrived in bad condition. When wrapping 5 boxes with a simple paper bag, it will definitely damage in the way - your fault, not the shipping services. The boxes are all dent, and all of them are open - the wrapping paper sleeve (the one with the TAU logo in front and QR on back) glue is gone, and made all the boxes be just open. I bought 5 products, mainly just to give them as gifts, something I cannot do now. Combine this with a 3 months delay - disappointing.

Super portable and easy to charge. It provides enough power to get you to a place you can use a traditional wall charger but it's not powerful enough to get you through a whole day. But at this size I didn't expect it to be. For an emergency boost in power when your battery is about dead though this is perfect.

Got two TAUs, currently, my wife uses one of them. It is an emergency power bank, but the primary function is a keychain, and it is exactly how she is using the TAU :) For now, I take care to recharge the powerbank at home for her. Works as advertised. The only issue was me trying to wipe off the glue residue after removing the Warning label stuck to TAU.

One of the greater crowdsourced projects! Really great product! Drawbacks 1. The clip holding the key ring can be opened too easily, would prefer to have a closed loop! ... The tau detaches from the keys ones a day :( 2. A charging cable for when traveling, looked at third party cables but the tau sadly uses the female connector so cannot solve my problem any time soon :(

The clipping on the TAU comes off very easily, so my keys keep on falling out of my TAU, other than that great product! Leave the keychain hook on the TAU permanently, without the option of users clipping it off to insert their keychain ring.

The metal strap is flimsy seeming. It's a bit bigger than I like my key fobs, but too small to fully charge a common smart phone. If you are almost out of juice, this will bump you up 10 to 20 percent. (About 12 on my galaxy S10) It will save you in a pinch, but it will get pretty hot and the capacitors will sing while its doing it. It does charge the phone up quickly though.

I need to give some video evidence of my complaint which I will do this week. Once my issue is resolved, I will be in a better position to review it. The product is compact and quality is perfect as described. I didn't like the condition I received the product, it looked tampered. Have been using it for the past few days. It's useful for sure but its a bit confusing to know if the TAU is fully charged or not. The magnet is strong enough to hold 2 keys, one in-charge, and a small 10gms locket.

It really is that easy to use as advertised, but TAU itself is bulky and I would imagine that my pants would fall if I carried TAU in my pocket (have not tested for long, but I went to the cellar and came back) I would say TAU is perfect for someone who is on the move with a shoulderbag. TAU has really good cables and I got about 20-30% of charge while I was watching YouTube so it is really impressive. I have not timed how long it takes the TAU to be charged full, but the concept is good.

I got it little bit late but its understandable due to Covid-19 pandemic. About Tau, it's awesome as advertised. It can charge up to 20% of my OnePlus 6. And it is very convenient to cary in your pockets Adapter is easy to stick anywhere and can carry with you as well even after fixing. And its capable to hold Tau along with my bunch of keys which is super cool.

Took a long time to receive the product. Once I received the product, some parts were missing (looks like their fulfillment center just sent out a returned unit), so the company agreed to send a replacement charging base. It has been another month of waiting and the replacement part has not been sent out. Lots of waiting and delivery is extremely slow.

It looks amazing, feels good and it works well. Two minor issue. The connection point heating up while charging is a hazard, next design has to surround it by plastic (like a female plug) to prevent contact, the charger should simply have a male plug as opposite. The second one is really important, the metal hook is too fragile and shouldn’t actually be a hook, rather fixed ring to the battery. It feels it will break if I pull to hard, that is why I only give 4 stars.

Nice and compact . Only problem is its magnetic connector is heating up too much when charging my phone . I could not touch that side while using for charge. I feel the cables could be more flexible , so that the powerbank can rest flat while charging . Overall the product is handy . Only issue is overheating . I hope its safe and no issues happen

In a nutshell, the TAU Battery is a 1400 mAh battery that can supply emergency juice to any modern iPhone (with a lightning connector) or Android phone with a USB C connector. It took my iPhone 11 Pro Max from 21% to41% in about 70 minutes! It DEFINITELY works as an emergency battery that fits on your keychain easily! The only issue is the cord is very thin, and you need to keep it as still as possible when charging.

I have used the tau for a little over a month and it is a really cool concept and for me, I gave it 4 stars just because I think the build quality could be improved a little. I had trouble taking out the charger and most of the times had to do it with my teeth, the metal strap couldn't hold on to the keys that long or it would fall and I would take a look at the capability of the battery even if it makes it a little bit more expensive but overall great product and concept, it has a future.

The idea of the product is great, but there are a few issues: -the can get VERY hot. Unwittingly touching it can be painful. -attached cable heads are great, but they can be hassle to place back into place once taken out. -the way the heads are oriented, it can feel awkward having it handing from your phone. It would have been nice if the heads were rotated 90degress, so when charging, the device can rest flush w/ your phone.

Great little power bank to go with my keys and fits my pocket so I always have a little extra juice if I or someone close to me needs it. The build in cables fits “every phone”. Ver. 2 should have inductive charging to avoid the metal part in the top that apparently gets quite hot when charging the phone. (is it safe to charge the phone in my pocket?) Would have preferred to have the choice between white or black (or green) cable for the charging cradle.

Awesome gadget! Now I’m not afraid that my iPhone will shut down in a critical situation. Since I mounted the TAU, my powerbank is always charged and my keys have convenient permanent place. I would’ve added a separate USB-magnetic travel cable to charge the power bank in trips and some indication of the remaining charge. Thank you for your work, keep on rolling, guys!

As advertised, this is a very compact unit. I tested it on my iPhone XR, which it was able to charge enough to keep it going. This now is my favourite charger for short local trips (great for use on the bike due to its light weight). Highly recommended.

Feels nice in the hand. The heat generated is quite noticeable. Although could double as a hand warmer in cold winter months! Only charges 25% of my iPhone but I would have thought it’s enough to get you out of trouble should your phone die at a most critical time.

It’s a great product. The part that heats up emanates a very plasticky smell which is quite bothersome, but I can get used to it. The magnet is SOLID, and I love that. The feel of the product is quite smooth However, the packaging that the product comes in is quite flimsy, I do appreciate that it’s plain cardboard and can be disposed or recycled properly, but it didn’t seem to do the job of holding the product well at all. It arrived quite crumpled No Other complaints for now!

This is such a convenient little power bank, I absolutely love it! I have a fairly weighty keychain so I figured I’d have to take some things off to use the magnet but no, this thing is STRONG. The only real issue I have is that the clip that connects it to the key chain comes loose a touch easy for my tastes. As such I’ve had a couple of scares where I thought I lost it but thankfully its not been permanently lost yet.

Initially I couldn't get Tau to charge as the USB C port was too tight to get the plug insterted far enough. After a bit of effort, I got charging sorted and it was able to supply charge to my phone. Bearing in mind it is a very small bettery, it doesn't give much of a boost, but probably enough to bridge the gap to a proper charging.

Great product. It will charge a phone from almost zero one time. My suggestions would be a clip on/off feature to make charging easier. I have too many keys to charge as suggested. It's also a little hard to pull out the charging cord. I really like this product! *Edit to add- It gets REALLY hot while charging on the dock or charging your phone. The whole thing isn't hot but the magnetic metal piece gets crazy hot. I hope a new one rolls out that will not be so hot!

Haven't had many chances to use it how it's intended to be used yet, however, it worked just fine right out of the box. The dual port microUSB/Lightning is a great idea and works well. It has a nice form factor and color. My only complaint so far is the wall mount. It's very easy to slide the cord compartment cover in the back around, which makes it less convenient (in my opinion) to get your keys on and off as easily as the videos show.

Hi, I got 3 TAU power banks. So far, unfortunately they have not been good in terms of power ie. they seem to be low in power for an iPhone 11. My calcs are that it will take approx. 5 1/2 hours to charge one (18% charge per hour); and problems in TAU part charging up to 20-30% max and then cutting out. i liked portabilitiy and small size of the unit, and wall unit fit to power hence my decision to purchase. I'll keep trying but to date looks like leaves a bit more to be desired. v good idea.

a nice small gadget to have power available if needed. Drawbacks in noticed: while charging the phone the TAU gets quite hot in the back and should not be touched by accident. Additionally the capacity is not very large. This was calculated in when i bought it, but who buys it needs to be aware that it is just an emergency loading of the phone and it will not be sufficient if i continue to work with the phone again a lot of hours.

Really think it is great. Love the sleek design. Gave one to my mom! One way to improve in the future would be to make the key chain attachment a little more elegant. The metal clasp seems a little rudimentary compared to the rest, and it has sharp edges. Might you make it more like a tiny key holder that swivels? It is definitely a cool design. I wish that it had a custom power adapter built for it. One that plugged into the wall, but has the USB outlet facing up so that the cord could be more flush against the wall. I also wish that it would charge a bit faster. It’s nice to have as a backup but I think I may need something with more charge. I like how the cable can fit any phone but without the usb-A to charge it elsewhere, it can become just a dead power brick in my purse. Charges phone as it should, but after a while I can hear sizzling, crackling and popping sounds from both of the powerbanks while discharging them, so I have not used them since in case of a fire hazard. Very nice and compact design. Very handy. But at 1400mAh you can't get enough power, for Iphone specifically. This could be only your third/fourth power bank. Must bring higher mAh alongside if your gadget life depending on power bank. This TAU could be the last alternative if you're looking for power. Anyhow, it is a cool product to add on my collection.

Hello, I received my TAU and it's really useful. I've noticed some details that would make this product better: -Have a led light to know the charge level of the battery -Have an easy attachment system to remove and replace the battery on the keyring. This one is not really user friendly and sometimes it takes off on his own in my bag. -Last but not least, the heat generated by the magnet when charging the phone is really disturbing.

This is a very useful and very handy tool to have on my keyring. It has really been handy in tough situations when I can't charge my phone and I need a little boost for my phone battery. It charges pretty quick. Having all the wires in one package is so nice. So no more need to remember to grab and cables. I have been recommending this product to all my friends. 5 stars because it literally does what it says on the tin, built well, about the size i expected it to be. HOWEVER, in my opinion the key loop should be turned 90 ° as in the current position the TAU is bulky in the pocket, as a person who carries only the car key and house key this would make all the difference. Why does it get so warm? Kind of disconcerting when it’s in your pocket. The hook mechanism isn’t quite heavy duty enough to handle heavy key chains or big car keys. Should’ve just been a basic screw in thing not a clip. Wouldn’t buy again tbh.

The idea is not bad. And although it says on the product it gets hot, after one day of use my kids connected upside down, and it actually melt the base and I burn my fingers when I touched after some hours charging. Product is yet to be finished to offer security to users. Still it offers a lifesaver amount of charge to dead cell phones.

Good for what it is: an emergency reserve of power. The little silver button gets mighty warm while it's charging your phone so be mindful. I can get about a 60% charge on average on my phone before the battery is exhausted. I imagine with future updates to the design it'll get even better. Would make a great gift.

I really appretiate the concept but because the powerbank needs to be so small they needed to make some cut-offs. For example, there isn't any fast charging, the power bank is getting pretty warm while it is charging and while gets charged. and also every time I charge it or it charges something, it makes a little peep noise which is a bit annoying. But apart from that it is very well built, feels solid, and has a good size.

I have backed many projects, and this one I believe has fulfilled my expectations the most effectively. The product is well built and lives up to the description as presented. My only issue is with charging speed, but since 'fast charging' was not a marketing ploy used, I am satisfied with the speed. All in all, I will be purchasing more for my family.

The concept of the TAU is great, i placed the dock on my wall and the magnet works very well to hold my keys, but the problem comes when i charge any device, it starts overheat and it interrupts the charge for a brief moment multiple times. Probably my device is defective but this is my experience.

As described, all working, very straightforward guide and package. If I can add for v2 - stronger or different type of lock for keys. This one is good but lock that cannot be opened by pulling would be good. and more juice but that is limited by today's tech.

Its pretty good. Its also very handy to have, I usually run out of battery pretty quickly through the day and its good to have it on my keychain. I really like how I can lend it to my friends with different phones. It got enough for a days use as long as I remember to charge it.

The charging cable, when connected, makes it very difficult to set the phone down. It's at an odd angle and the charging cable could easily get twisted or broken, or put force on the charging port and break that. If the charging connection was rotated 90 degrees, it would allow for laying the TAU and phone flat.

the concept of this product is really simple and great, but unfortunately the product itself is a bit of a disappointment. I had expected to be able to get a quick charge capable power bank, and a full charge out of it, neither of which are the case. I get about 40% at an absolute max, but often much less, and it makes a very annoying high pitched noise while charging. the bank also gets quite hot, which would be fine if it wasn't a handheld charger - but with the cable length you MUST hold it.

The concept and idea of TAU — a small, compact, versatile and magnetically-rechargeable powerbank — is incredibly brilliant. However, while its small size is admirable, the fact that it only contains 1400mAh of battery severely limits its capabilities. This results in the product only being able to serve as a "desperate measure" in addressing low charges on our devices, where it can only be used to charge about 20% of one's device's battery before, too, running out of its own battery.

With two of the tau's in use at this moment, both at both of them the clip is comming lose from the powerbank itself, and this after two weeks of use. At this moment not very happy with the quality, but happy with the battery itself.

It's a great size and gets me about 60% of my phone battery when the phone is dead, which is great! My only gripe is that the key ring often comes loose, so my keys fall off. Not a deal breaker, I just wish the key ring were attached on both sides where it touches the power bank, not just on one side.

Been a great life saver, just when I am about to have my battery die TAU is there to save me. Lots of friends are super impressed and looking to now buy as well. Just few issues, gets bit heated and has a high pitch sound sometime when charging. Hope the future models will solve this issue!

Good look, small enough to fit a pocket. Hanging with keys is so easy. Return home, place TAU in cradle charging happens and keys, everything stay together just grab and start the next day with extra power on hand.

I love the size and the design of it, practical and great tool however I was seriously disappointed when one fully charged TAU only fills up half of my batter on an old iPhone SE before getting completely empty. I was expecting at least one full charge, few to be honest. So, I am considering returning all 6 of them.

My only disappointment so far is home much power it is able to recharge. On my ipad it charged it 10%, my iphone 8plus 30-40%, on a single charge. I did expect more.

I'm not sure I'm a fan of the key attachment loop. I get where u were going with the idea but my keys don't lay flat. I fixed it by adding a small split keyring. I've not had the need to use it beyond playing around when I first received it, but it worked as intended then, and seems super sturdy! Overall, I really like it! Thanks again!

I am really happy with my TAUs (bought 3) my iPhone Xs charges just under 40%. It really liberates me knowing I can leave the house spontaneously and will always have some juice. Would appreciate a longer charging cable. Definitely recommend!

Great design, fanatic concept but I find my TAU gets my phone up about 10-12% before the battery needs to be recharged in the dock. I put my phone on Low Power Mode, close every application and sometimes put it into Airplane Mode... but the most I’ve been able to get is about 15%. It’s a good device in a pinch when you need just a little bit more juice out of your device, I just thought the power bank would be able to give me more? Very happy with its design and user friendliness.

Find the idea and implementation great. Only two things bother me: 1. the charging adapters have difficulty getting back into the rubber recess after charging. 2. the device gets extremely hot after charging a smartphone, sometimes this is very unpleasant, but the problem is with batteries/powerbanks in general, so the blame here is not on the TAU. It might be possible to optimize or speed up the cooling of the internal battery by a clever design of the outer shell or the use of certain alloys

The design of the product is very good. It's sleek and very convenient, and gave me an easy way to hang up my keys. One thing I've not been pleased with is the charging output speed. It works well enough, but it seems that it delivers power very slowly to whatever device is being charged. Minor inconvenience given how infrequently I need it, but it was worth mentioning.

The Idea is great. The final product is not yet able to convince me. While charging my Google Pixel 4 it stops now and then. I have to unplug an plug the cable to keep it charging. Furthermore the TAU keeps getting very warm while charging.

I got Tau for myself, and my two parents who are notorious for forgetting to charge their phones. They have been great! It’s just the right little boost needed to get through the afternoon when you’re running low on charge. I enjoy having a power bank ready-to-go everyday. My only criticism is the loop to place it in your key ring. It could be a little more friendly to using a carabiner. To make it work I have to use a standard key ring then place that on the carabiner- it just creates more clutter. I use the nite ize brand, which is significantly thinner than the regular models as well.

Really great concept, already has helped once or twice, but the quality is lacking, and my USB-C cable on it will just continuously connect and disconnect. Disappointing to say the least. The InCharge makes it usable, but sadly the Tau doesn't meet the same build quality of the InCharge.
